The Comeback of the Heavyweights: How the Ringside Zone is Changing German Wrestling

About the session:
Ringside Zone is making German boxing prestigious once again. Following years of sporting stagnation, Heidelberg-based entrepreneur and CEO Florian Winter has developed an event concept that caused a sensation last summer at the sold-out SNP Dome in Heidelberg. Featuring young target audiences, high-end show acts between fights, and rich DJ sets during ring breaks—complemented by top-tier celebrities, business leaders, politicians, and renowned content creators at ringside.
What were once lackluster boxing matches have evolved into a brand-new lifestyle experience for sports fans. Serious, highly professional, and backed by strong partners and an innovative investor model, former boxer Winter is driving his vision forward.
On March 20, Hamburg will host a truly unique boxing event: An exclusive VIP Dinner Boxing for approximately 600 guests at the historic Fischauktionshalle. The main event features Nina Meinke defending her World Championship title. Additionally, heavyweights Emanuel Odiase, Peter Kadiru, and Viktor Jurk will step into the ring.
On May 15, 2026, Mannheim will host the "Night of the Heavyweights," the German boxing event of the year. This mega fight night at the SAP Arena focuses on the "Golden Generation" of German heavyweights. The highlight: Emanuel Odiase fights for the European Championship, with a World Title shot targeted for 2027. The year 2026 marks the turning point for German professional boxing.
In this entertaining Masterclass at the SPOBIS Conference, Florian Winter will be joined by a prominent panel to outline his vision and goals for the coming years, inviting guests to join an interactive discussion. Thanks to Heidelberg’s Ringside Zone, boxing is finally back in the spotlight!
